One Room Challenge - Week 2

It’s week two! Watching everyone’s progress helped get me going on my own work. The space has been painted and all the furniture removed. Pictures below of the space while the furniture was still in there. I had to work around it until I could clear out our daughter’s room. I haven’t gotten around to the pictures of the empty room yet and will likely share that on the IG page this week. I will admit, there was an ocean freighter load of clutter we did take out before these pictures (all mine). It would’ve been impossible to work around all of it.

These give you an idea of the layout of the room pre-ORC. The queen bed is now our daughters and my husband now uses her bedroom as an office during the day as a temporary measure. His office furniture will be moving back into this room.

On tab for this coming week. Re-installing the salvaged window and door trim, the picture rail, and shoe molding! So fun! I’m not sure if I’ll have enough of the shoe molding since what was on the missing wall probably got thrown out with it. I might have to get that reproduced. What we have, I’ll install and then paint in place.

With school in full swing (my priority) I can only take little bites out of this project. I hope I get it done completely in the remaining six weeks. I’ll try to share the progress more consistently on the IG page @byrneburymanor. Even if I don’t get as much done as I’d like, I’ve definitely been inspired by what everyone has shared on the One Room Challenge Blog.
